SOCIAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF INTERNAL CONFLICT OF UKRAINIAN MEDICAL WORKERS ABROAD
Abstract
Forced migration of Ukrainian medical workers after 2022 is accompanied by the loss of professional identity, emotional exhaustion, and difficulties in socio-psychological adaptation.The purpose of the article is to study the social and psychological aspects of internal conflict among Ukrainian emigrant medical workers and to identify the factors influencing their adaptation strategies. For the first time, four types of internal conflict – professional, emotional, value, and identity – were identified among Ukrainian medical workers in different host countries. A correlation was found between language and bureaucratic barriers and the level of frustration.The empirical results indicate that 76% of respondents experience a persistent internal conflict that reduces their professional efficiency and life satisfaction.It is recommended to establish support systems for Ukrainian medical workers abroad, including professional language courses, simplified qualification recognition, psychological support, and development of intercultural competencies.
