PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF INFORMATION INFLUENCE ON THE CIVILIAN POPULATION OF UKRAINE IN THE CONDITIONS OF HYBRID WAR
Abstract
The article examines the psychological characteristics of informational influence on the civil- ian population of Ukraine in the context of hybrid warfare. It is established that hybrid aggression combines military actions with large-scale information and psychological pressure aimed at under- mining social unity, spreading fear, and destabilizing socio-psychological processes. The purpose of the study is to analyze the psychological features of informational influence on the civilian population of Ukraine and to identify the main psychological mechanisms that increase society’s vulnerability to destructive information and psychological operations. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the systematization of psychological mechanisms of informational influence, namely: emotional pressure, cognitive biases, socio-psychological factors, as well as the phenomenon of information dependency and overload. It is revealed that the most vulnerable groups are those with low levels of media literacy, elderly people, and individuals in crisis circumstances.The necessity of developing effective psychological strategies to counter information attacks and to foster citizens’ psychological resilience is substantiated, as these are crucial factors of Ukraine’s national security and societal resilience.
