PROBLEMS AND NEEDS OF INTERNALLY DISPLACED WOMEN IN THE CONTEXT OF WAR: THE ROLE OF PUBLIC AND CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract
The full-scale war in Ukraine has caused profound social transformations, with internally dis- placed women remaining among the most vulnerable groups. Forced displacement, loss of housing, employment, and social ties increase their vulnerability and complicate adaptation in new com- munities.The purpose of this article is to analyze the key problems and needs of internally displaced women in wartime conditions and to outline the role of public and charitable organizations in pro- viding support.The article highlights the link between economic and psychological difficulties: financial insta- bility, unemployment, and loss of income sources intensify stress, anxiety, and depressive symp- toms. Particular attention is paid to the activities of non-governmental organizations, which partly compensate for gaps in state policy by offering legal, financial, psychological, and humanitarian assistance.The findings emphasize the necessity of a comprehensive approach that combines economic, social, and psychological support, integrated into sustainable state and local policies.
