ASSERTIVENESS IN THE CONTEXT OF ENHANCING TEACHERS' CONFLICTOLOGICAL COMPETENCE
Abstract
The article thoroughly examines the importance of teachers' assertiveness in creating a positive learning environment, which directly influences the success of the educational process. Assertiveness, which includes the ability to express one's thoughts, needs, and emotions without aggression or passivity, is a key factor in establishing effective communication with students and fostering an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect. Assertiveness is identified as an important component of teachers' conflictological competence, and its impact on the quality of interaction in the educational process is analyzed. The results of an empirical study are also presented, revealing that most teachers possess a high level of assertiveness. However, a significant portion of educators demonstrates a low level of assertiveness, indicating signs of passivity that may negatively affect their professional effectiveness. Therefore, the article emphasizes the necessity of focusing on the development of teachers' assertiveness as a crucial element of their professional training to improve the educational process.
